Aug 1st - Aug 22nd : Summer of Peace - “Promote the Positive”
Center St. Jazz Gallery for the Arts hosts “Promote the Positive” a rotating mixed media exhibition featuring powerful artwork from community youth and adult visual and performance artists who share the same mission and idea that has driven the Summer of Peace city wide youth rally for over 13 years. This collective perspective is about compassion, solutions and the evolution of Peace.
“Promote the Positive” exhibition and programs will take place at The Center St Jazz Gallery for the Arts 926 E. Center St. 53212 in the Riverwest neighborhood on the eastside of Milwaukee,WI and will open during the Center Street Daze festival, Saturday August 1st, 2015 starting at 11am. The exhibit will be on display until August 22nd, 2015.
“Promote the Positive” showcases several disciplines and unique styles of youth and urban art.

& more featured visual & performance guests TBA.
The artistic voices in this exhibition display the untapped, raw creativity and aspirations to promote and integrate the culture of peace in Milwaukee. The exhibit is part of a summer long program intended to raise the consciousness and invite the community to engage in a conversation of peace! Join us!
Aug 7th - “Promote the Positive” Summit 7pm
-Generational building and networking with Peace Makers- featuring organizations & leaders in Milwaukee - special invited peace advocates will get to do a 3 min presentation on their programs, plans or campaigns and take 2 questions. The purpose of this summit is to network & connect conversations, community resources and current events. There will be special invited guests as well as a walk up sign in to speak out and make announcements.
Aug 8th - “SWEET AS GOLD” Fundraising Gala 7:30 p.m.
We are happy to announce, Lights! Camera! Soul! is now a 501(c)(3) non-profit theatre company! While we are grateful for the many strides we have achieved as a student organization at both Alverno College and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, our business standards and commitment to artistic excellence and innovative Entertainment has never been compromised.
Witness first-hand the announcement of our new and exciting 2015-2016 season! Please join us as we celebrate, fundraise, and nourish believers in Lights! Camera! Soul! and diverse ART and ENTERTAINMENT.

A.D.H.D. - ep listening event - Free/ All Ages
-Music listening session, Video Screening, Performing Artists Q & A
Milwaukee up & coming artists A.D.H.D invite you to check out their latest musical and video releases up-close and personal. Meet the group, review songs and videos from the new project A.D.H.D ep during their upcoming intimate listening event! Give direct feedback and enjoy a fun Hip Hop style performance mixed with Q&A session.
Aug 12th - Summer of Peace Artist meet & greet - Opening reception 7pm
Aug 14th - The Eclectic Experience Pt. 3 w/ host Kj Prodigy
The Eclectic Experience Part 3 will be an event of poetry, comedy, live music, and
more. Come together for an amazing innovative experience!
Doors will open at 6pm.
Setup and MicCheck will be from 6-7pm.
7pm show starts Cost: $5 donation but pocket change is accepted.
